The City of Covina initially engaged Leverage Information Systems to provide a video surveillance system for their downtown area and PD facility back in 2014. Since that initial deployment, Covina has achieved considerable success stories in and around the downtown area. The use of this technology by the Police Department has allowed the city to provide a higher level of service for the community increasing public safety and quality of life. These success stories sparked interest with the Parks and Recreation Department which lead to the deployment of surveillance cameras at the newly built Cougar Park. The new surveillance system features state of the art intrusion detection and proactive intervention capabilities.
