The City of Covina was in need of a video surveillance system for their core downtown area as well as a significant upgrade for the existing surveillance camera system installed at the Police Department. Taking advantage of Leverage’s recent award of an RFP contract through the City of Corona, provided Covina with an efficient and most expeditious method of meeting their needs without having to go through a separate RFP process. Known as a “Piggyback” option, this process allows the City of Covina to accept the recommendation from the City of Corona to engage Leverage Information Systems as the vendor of choice. The Covina Police Department was already quite familiar with Leverage as a well respected vendor in municipal surveillance having seen their successful deployments in many of the Southern California cities.
