In 2011, the Lynwood School District selected Leverage Information Systems to design and deploy a video surveillance system for the district. The district selected a couple of the campuses that had the most active incidents of vandalism and graffiti to be used as test sites for this initial deployment. Shortly after installation was complete, district staff members discovered a dramatic reduction in the incidents of both vandalism and graffiti. With the overwhelming success noted at the test campuses, the district wanted to expand the system to all of the campuses. Once again, Leverage Information Systems was selected as the vendor to continue the deployment. Leverage designed and installed a wireless infrastructure that connected the Mark Twain, Marshall and Roosevelt campuses. All of the district campuses and offices are now covered by surveillance system provided by Leverage. District staff members continue to see a reduction in the nuisance incidents that were plaguing the campus prior to the installation of the surveillance system.
